He has worked with some of the biggest players in a range of industries including automotive, food and beverage, textiles and electronics. With a specialized dual master’s in Sustainable Systems and Engineering, an entrepreneurial mindset, and solid experience in consulting, Ajay offers a unique combination of creativity in ideas, quantitative rigor and business judgement in helping you succeed in your organization’s sustainability journey.
While Ajay is most passionate about making sustainability work for businesses of all types, sizes and cultures, rock climbing and local microbrews come a close second.
Jack is a full stack developer, specialising in Ruby on Rails, and has built fully optimised web applications for telecommunications companies among many other personal apps. After completing his degree in Mechanical Engineering, he worked in the Oil and Gas sector for just over a year before deciding that a sustainable and circular economy is where his passion really lies. He has an entrepreneurial spirit and would consider himself a ‘start-up junkie’ and loves getting involved in small, innovative companies that have big plans!
Jack is a tech enthusiast, a ‘maker’, and has a hands-on approach to any problem. He enjoys playing music, free-running, a good book and all-things-electric; he is currently building an electric motorbike with George.
George is a Ruby on Rails web developer, with exposure to various other coding languages, and has built multiple web apps from idea to finished product. He also has a degree in Mechanical Engineering and experience in a technical design role. Passionate about sustainable development and design. He believes that a circular economy is crucial to the future of humanity and will be achieved through creative, intelligent and entrepreneurial solutions covering a range of issues.
In his spare time he enjoys coding, making things (virtual and physical), gymnastics, running and reading.
Willeke is a passionate designer wants to use her design skills to contribute to a more sustainable society. She is a natural at product, graphic and interior design and loves to experiment with colors and shapes. Having worked at other startups like BinBang in the past she is a true entrepreneur at heart.
Dion is an Amsterdam based designer who recently graduated in visual communication with a thesis for a sustainable coffee company. Focused on the importance of design managment in visualizing brand values. His interest for sustainability grew from that point and he loves to make innovative ideas visually attractive and evident.
Dion loves to travel and is passionate and food. Dion has worked on several projects in this sector, including a middle eastern pop-up breakfast concept soon to be launched in Amsterdam.
Dave is a design combining business development and information architecture with design. He has worked with several start-ups on improving their product and user journeys. With a degree in Neuropsychology and Behavioural Sciences, Dave has used his knowledge as a change consultant, business coach and digital marketeer before entering the start-up arena. He loves to help people who want to change society for the better, especially in the realm of sustainability and social justice.
Dave’s field of interest is quite big, which manifests itself in hosting dialogue sessions in the field of philosophy and psychology, playing music and enjoying nature hiking.
Mark has experience in development of websites, web applications, social media marketing and automation in information systems. He has a business degree with significant experience in engineering projects.
Joost leads the Sustainability Services team at Accenture in the Netherlands and is responsible for their Dutch environmental program. He initiated and managed the Amsterdam Smart City program for two years. He is also a board member of the Green Business Club, a foundation that accelerates sustainable projects at business center Zuidas.
Jan Ludolf is a Senior Manager at PwC’s Sustainability & Responsible Governance team in Amsterdam, where he helps clients implement monitoring and reporting frameworks, identify and address sustainability risks and transition from GRI G3 to GRI G4 reporting guidelines.
MauritsGroen is co-founder and CEO of WakaWaka and Vice President of the WakaWaka Foundation. As a ‘serial sustainability entrepreneur’ in the Netherlands, he has set up several sustainability organizations and at the same time, he is engaged in publishing books and organizing events on the same theme. Maurits is largely responsible for building the brand WakaWaka.
Jan Hein has been involved in everything from the rat-race in the financial world at the top-executive levels, to investing in and mentoring start-ups and consultancies. He understands the businessworld through experience gathered internationally and cross culturally over 29 years as a top-executive in the financial services industry. Jan Hein is currently active as independent strategic consultant for companies of all sizes. Apart from investing in companies, he enjoys encouraging/mentoring the new generation of entrepreneurs with a clear vision that resonate with his own.
